Getting Nice Hair Color Using Special Effects
Special Effects is a hair color that comes in some vibrant,wild and funky colors like, Blue Mayhem, Purple Smoke, Devilish and Napalm Orange just to name a few. Whatever your favorite color is they have it in a haircolor. The colors are semi-permanent and fade with each washing. Let your creative side shine through with these colors!
Step 1
Firstly, do shampoo you hair, do not use conditioner afterwards, and make sure to dry hair thoroughly. Then apply a layer of petroleum jelly around hairline and on ears this is to protect skin from staining). * Important - you should wear plastic gloves to avoid staining of hands.
Step 2
After that pour the desired amount into plastic bowl. (Approximately 1/2 bottle for short hair, 3/4 bottle or more for longer hair.)
Apply evenly with tint brush from roots to ends, just enough to saturate hair. Do not get color on the scalp.
Step 3
Comb color mixture through hair thoroughly and leave in hair for approximately 15-30 minutes, the rinse color out until water runs clear, shampoo, blow dry and style hair as usual.
Tips & Warnings
Colors will be more intense and last longer if you bleach the hair first. (May last up to 8 weeks or longer on bleached hair.)
Colors will give more of a highlighted effect on dark hair.
Color fades a little with each shampoo.
Lasts approximately 3 to 6 weeks depending upon hair type.
Haircolor stains do not get on clothing or skin, if you do gently rub with rubbing alcohol before washing with soap
